The project for the new park applies natural-based solutions to protect, manage and regenerate degraded natural ecosystem.
The project for the new park creates a network of natural ecosystems in the urban environment by expanding “ecological corridors” with the aim of protecting small fauna, insects and birdlife, improving the interaction between species.
The project for the new park responds to social challenges by proposing an inclusive and flexible urban space model.
The artistic atmosphere and the preservation of industrial memory are the basis for a new model of park in which the green infrastructure, thanks to the interaction with the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, will expand the meaning of ecological education towards artistic expression in order to promote the values of sustainability and resilience.
The new park will be the platform for new relationships and new activities within the framework of a park capable of maintaining its aesthetic and functional characteristics over time, oriented towards the search for biodiversity, human and environmental well-being.
The green area now presents itself as an unattractive space. The project recognizes the ecological value of spontaneous vegetation, mainly of evergreen species
The vegetation project is the protagonist of the project that aims to create a changing park in colours during seasons, tanks to the color of the leaves of the new deciduous trees and new shrubs, as if it were a metaphor for the new functions and the redevelopment of the former industrial area of which it is a memory.
